ARMA PEI and the UPEI Robertson Library are pleased to announce a unique learning opportunity -- an Open Data Workshop with well-known Island IT developer and blogger Peter Rukavina! Who Left the Lights On? : How a government-industry open data partnership is driving innovation in the delivery of electricity load and generation data to Islanders Can government and business learn to embrace the concept of open data? A cooperative project between the Province of PEI and Maritime Electric to release energy load and generation data in open format proves that sometimes, just maybe, yes! Participants at this workshop will have an opportunity to look under the hood of projects focused on leveraging the open data provided by Maritime Electric, and learn how open data can best serve citizens looking to community-based build tools and projects.
